Pongal is an other ancient dish from India which means "to boil or overflow" and refers to the traditional dish prepared from the new harvest at the end of the winter season. Pongal is a very popular south Indian dish especially in Tamilnad and is prepared in two formats either in sweet or venna / khara which is savoury in taste and prepared with ghee. Srika pongal uses authentic Tamilnadu format and recipe to give you the original experience of tradition and easy to cook comfort.

How to Cook
Step 1 : Saute with 1tsp of butter or ghee for 2 minutes.
Step 2 : Pour Srika Rice Pongal mix and add 3 cup (500ml) of water (add extra spices / salt if needed) into the cooker and mix properly. Close the cooker and allow it to cook for 2-3 whistles on slow flame
Step 3 : Allow the pressure to cool naturally
Step 4 : Mix well & serve hot with GHEE
