Pongal is a very popular south Indian dish especially in Tamilnadu and is prepared in two formats either in sweet or venna / khara which is savoury in taste and prepared with ghee.

Srika Pongal is available in both millets and rice based giving the discretion of choice based on the nourishment need and without compromising on the traditional food experience when eaten with ghee garnishing and chutney. Step 1 : Add 1tsp of Ghee.
Step 2 : Heat Ghee.
Step 3 : Pour Srika Millet Pongal mix and saute for 10 seconds.
Step 4 : Add the seasoning / masala powder and mix well.
Step 5 : Pour 1 ltr of water for 200 grm of Srika Millet Pongal mix.
Step 6 : Close the cooker lid and allow it to cook for 3-4 whistles on medium flame.
Step 7 : Add Ghee to taste ; serve it Hot and Enjoy !!
